Ore Stone Radio already applies professional-grade audio processing to your stream. So please read this carefully so your signal blends perfectly and doesnβt get overprocessed.
———————————————————————————————
π§ WHAT THE STATION ALREADY DOES
———————————————————————————————
All audio coming in to the station is processed by a mastering chain that includes:
β
DC offset removal & rumble filter
β
Noise gate
β
Transient shaping (adds punch)
β
Harmonic saturation (tube + valve)
β
EQ shaping (DJ-style tone curve)
β
Compression + multiband compression
β
Bass tightening and stereo widening
β
Exciter (adds air & sparkle)
β
Final mastering & loudness control
This makes everything sound loud, warm, punchy, and clean β like FM radio.
So what you need to do is to send a signal thatβs clean, clear, and not already slammed or distorted.

π€ RECOMMENDED MIC PROCESSING
———————————————————————————————
If you’re using a mic, we strongly recommend you use OBS or a DAW with the following:
β
Noise suppression (RNNoise, NVIDIA, or ReaFir)
β
Noise gate (set carefully for your room)
β
EQ (to reduce boom or nasal tones)
β
Compressor (gentle, 2:1β4:1 ratio, fast release)
β
Limiter (ceiling: -3 dB or lower)
β
De-esser (optional, but helpful if you’re sibilant)
DO NOT:
β Add stereo widening to your mic
β Apply heavy saturation, distortion, or βradio FXβ
β Clip your mic (always leave headroom)

π΅ RECOMMENDED MUSIC PROCESSING
———————————————————————————————
If you’re DJing live via OBS (e.g. from Rekordbox, Serato, etc), hereβs the best setup:
β
Add +3 to +6 dB gain early in your chain
β
Use a mastering compressor (like Kotelnikov)
β
Optional: use EQ to fine-tune tone (no harsh boosts)
β
Use a limiter at the end (set ceiling to -5 dB)
β
Optional: Stereo widening (A1StereoControl at 110% max)
DO NOT:
β Use more than one compressor
β Widen stereo image past 110%
β Boost high frequencies aggressively
β Clip the final output β peak at -6 to -3 dB
———————————————————————————————
π§ MONITORING
———————————————————————————————
Use the Audio Monitor plugin in OBS to hear your mic or stream before it hits the station.
β
Always check your levels visually in OBS β green = good
β
Avoid red / peak meter spikes
β
If using meters or loudness meters (LUFS), aim for:
– Short-term LUFS around -14 to -10
– Peaks around -3 dBFS

π‘ FINAL TIPS
———————————————————————————————
β
Soundcheck your setup before going live
β
Leave the station’s DSP room to breathe
β
Less is more β clean, dynamic audio sounds better than crushed mixes
